The GPS is a programmed device that is primarily used to give an accurate position as to where an object or person is. This is possible by sending GPS satellites into the atmosphere which allows it to determine their location and time anywhere on Earth, which is all possible by programming. In addition, the GPS has been used for bomb and missile guidance to a target, although, this may not be a positive impact, however, it gives the military a strong advantage when in warfare.
